A slow goodbye to tBlog

I've had it up to here ^ with tBlog. I will continue using them, because people know I'm there, but I will be pointing them here and posting everything in duplicate. This will take a bit of extra time, I know, but it will be worth it. I'm sick of the slow loading, the problems (there's always something) and the lack of support.

Now I have to learn how to work Blogger properly. I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet, but will.

Hmm... maybe I can try to post a picture now, as a test.

Here's a picture of me:

If that worked, all is well in blogland.

And if comments work, then all is utterly splendid.

(It looks like all is utterly splendid. Oh, happy day.)

It's such a pain to have to move everything over, but you're right about tblog. It had the potential to be really good, but since it never works....
Like you and Audie I'm still undecided about whether to change or not.

It's going to take me a while to figure out Blogger. My old computer is too outdated to use their new posting engine, either, and the old one won't let me preview. I hit preview and the post vanishes. It's all very annoying.

I think I'm going to do something similar and keep them both for a bit and see who wins in the "easier" category. tBlog is far too annoying right now.

This is a digression on a new blog home for badaunt, but....I found a new blogging world -- "I know that some Alzheimer patients use weblogging both as a support group and, even more importantly, to have an easily accessible record of what they can't totally remember. When they blog every day, they have a record of their activities to which they can refer". Now if one has more than one blog home in this case......I'm not laughing at it all, I am a caregiver for such an elderly person and looking for others like me who blog!

For Alzheimers patients they'd definitely want an easy-to-use blogging host that didn't have chronic problems in the way tBlog does. And yes, one blog would be enough.

The blog-as-memory-aid idea is brilliant. I find both blogging and email useful for remembering when things happened - I have a terrible memory for time. I quite frequently have trouble remembering whether something happened three weeks ago or six months ago. Or one year ago or five.
